Like a lot of great things, Coaster Quotes originated by accident (thanks, Mom).  Waking up and trying to remember alcohol induced 1-liners overheard in bars the night before is nearly impossible.  Grabbing the nearest bar coaster or bev-nap or menu or human (it's happened) and writing down drunken quotes as they unfolded so that they could be hilariously re-read the next morning over hangover cocktails proved to be a much better option.  Therefore, what began as merely jotting down ridiculous things said during infinite bar crawls for comic relief has evolved into a collection of liquid brilliance for all to partake in and enjoy.  CHEERS.
